What this hire will never do
Behind your humans, never in front of them. This role answers only when your office can’t, and everything it books is flagged for your office manager to see first thing.
- Pick up before your staff. If your office manager is at her desk, she answers. This role takes only the call she can’t: the one before hours, the third line on a Monday, the Saturday overflow.
- Quote a price that isn’t in your price book.If the number isn’t in your setup, it says so and takes a callback for the morning.
- Argue with a customer. An angry caller gets an apology, a note in the CRM flagged for your office, and a promised callback. [Human escalation: not on the site until it works in production.]
- Pretend to be a person when asked. It says what it is, in your company’s name, and offers the morning callback.
Your office manager keeps her desk, her phone and the last word. Your staff keep their jobs. This is the voicemail that books appointments instead of losing them.
Compensation: flat. No meter, no overtime, no night differential.
